As a lifetime New England sports fan, I was determined in October of 2005 to finally start using that passion and determination to create the site now known as Celtics 24/7. Formerly known as Celtics Pride, Celtics 24/7 has already exceeded my initial expectations and still has a very bright future ahead of it. I am currently attending the University of Maine and will be graduating this Spring with a Business Marketing degree and a minor in Communications. I plan to use the skills I have learned over the past few years to continue to help Celtics 24/7 grow into one of the largest and most user-friendly Celtics sites on the web. It all starts with you the fans, and I appreciate every single person who supports us on our journey to the top.

Finishing my final year at Mass. College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) where I’m getting a Fine Arts and Public Relations degree…been a part of this Celtics 24/7 project almost the whole ride through…Tyler’s got me beat by about a year…love, and addicted to New England sports in general – but particularly hooked to the Celtics since that first game I went to at the age of 13 (a thrilling four point loss to the Suns)…working in an area that even remotely involves the Boston Celtics (does not include TD Garden janitor) would be a dream…here to make sure Celtics 24/7 is where real Celts fans go first for coverage through my writing and marketing abilities (if you want to call them that)!

My name is Adam Rizzo and I’m a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, majoring in Sport Management. I’ve been a life long Celtics fan since I’ve grown up around the Boston area my entire life. I’m currently striving to become a math teacher, but at the same time I’m a high school basketball coach and an aspiring Athletic Director. Everything I do is based around sports and I’ve had a desire to be a sports writer, so blogging about the Celtics is a hobby of mine. I hope to be here for quite some time and hope everyone enjoys (and criticizes) my articles!

I grew up watching the Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots with my dad and brother and have been a huge fan of Boston sports ever since then. I’ll never forget watching the Patriots defy the odds and win their first Superbowl in 2001 and the dynasty that followed, or watching the Sox break the Curse in 2004 but the Celtics have always been my favorite team. While I was unfortuantely born as the Larry BIrd era was coming to a close and as Celtics fans we’ve had to endure some brutal years, I’m talking about you M.L. Carr and you too Rick Pitino, watching the Celtics claim the title in 2007 made it all worth it.

Basketball is nothing short of an obsession to me. The majority of my day revolves around basketball in some way, shape, or form. In the summer of 2006, I extended that passion and began writing/blogging. I now write game previews and recaps for just about every game, and blog about the latest Celtics news. I’m not just about the Celtics, however. I follow the entire league very closely, as well as college basketball. Again, I’m not afraid to call basketball an obsession, and I hope I can make a career out of doing something involving it.

I’ve been a Celtics fan (along with the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins) for my entire life. I got to grow up watching Larry Bird wreck havoc on the NBA and smile while he did it. I love going to games or just watching them on TV. Sports has always and will always be my passion, I can talk about it for hours…I may be a girl, but I’m a girl who knows what she’s talking about.

Favorite Players: Paul Pierce, Tony Battie, Eddie House

Growing up minutes from the Old Boston Garden and the New TD Garden John eats, breaths, and sleeps Boston sports. He is a big fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins but the Celtics are the team that is near and dear to his heart. A native of Charlestown, MA, John is a 2010 Graduate of Curry College in Milton, MA with a degree in Communication. At Curry, he was the Sports Director at the radio station and was the voice of Curry Football and Men’s Besketball along with having his own Sports show called “The Sports Corner”. His top three favorite Celtic games of all-time were of course the 2008 NBA championship game 6 win over the Lakers to win banner number 17. Also the greatest comeback in NBA playoff history in game 3 of the 2002 Eastern Confrence Finals, and every game Paul Pierce has hit a buzzer beater in his carrer. John is looking forward to blogging and having great arguments and disscusions with the greatest sports fans in the world, in the greatest city in the world. BOSTON!

Longtime Boston Celtics fan, but currently living in the New Jersey Area. I plan to be a Sports Writer/Analyst when I’m out of College, or at least something I can interpret my Sports knowledge to. Basketball is without a doubt my favorite sport. Hope to see that 18th banner up soon! Looking foward to speaking with you all.

Favorite Players: Kevin Garnett
Being a Kevin Garnett fan for years, following him to Boston was the beginning of something special for me. Having been able to follow the creation of The Big 3 and their historic journey to The NBA Finals was something I’ll share with my kids. The blueprint that they set is already being mimicked across the league. But no team will EVER be able to duplicate the levels of trust, sacrifice, work ethic and heart that was given that 2008 Season. KG played a HUGE role in that journey and I’m not only honored to be a longtime fan of his but look forward to being a longtime fan of the Celtics. Boston is a BROTHERHOOD baby! Go Big or Go Home.

Favorite Players: Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo
Big fan of all Boston teams, except I don’t really care about hockey, and am bored with the Sox. Spent some time living in Denver so I root for all their teams secondarily (but I don’t root for the Broncos). Other than that, I work for Special Olympics, the world’s largest amateur sports organization, as a fundraiser. I am particularly interested in how sports impacts communities and society. When I’m not spending time with my wife and baby girl, I basically talk smack about sports with my friends. Glad to be here.

Favorite Players: Reggie Lewis, Bill Russell, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo
I’m a Celtics fan living in Philadelphia, PA, and I am a currently a student at the University of Pennsylvania studying History. My favorite sports are baseball and basketball. I’m a little bit of a geek when it to advanced statistics, more with baseball than basketball, but I’m learning. I grew up in central New Jersey and was a fan of the NBA, but didn’t have a favorite team for a while. I became a Celtics fan when I fell in love with Reggie Lewis during the 1992 playoffs and I’ve been hooked since.

My name is Adam Goodman and I am an aspiring sportswriter and sports broadcaster. While spending my early childhood living in the Springfield, Massachusetts area, I developed a lifelong bond to all Boston sports, and especially our own Boston Celtics. The time spend engulfed in the Antoine Walker era is what I truly attribute to my dedication to the Celtics, as one’s fanhood is truly tested in the midst of struggle and anguish. Now residing in Connecticut, I have continued my Celtics obsession into the “Boston Three Party” years and I have relished in the successes of a once broken franchise. I gained semi-fame (or infamy) as a controversial personality at Celtics.com’s “Gametime Live,” and I hope to bring that same kind of flare in my pieces here at Celtics 24/7. I consider myself a student of the game of basketball, and look forward to contributing to Celtics 24/7 in whatever way I can.

Born in raised in Massachusetts all my life mean I know tremendous highs and woeful lows when it comes to sports. I grew up in the 1980s and I had the opportunity to see the greatest of highs when The Green Machine ruled the court only to be followed by the death of Reggie and the rebuilding decade or two of the Celtics. I have always considered myself a basketball fan, but my love for the game grew into an obsession when I moved to Boston for college. I attended and graduated from Suffolk University just blocks from the Garden (the Fleet Center at the time) and had the opportunity to attend games for next to nothing, usually $10 bucks with a student ID. See there are some positive points to awful years when you are a poor kid in college. You can also find my early writings at Suffolk University if you search the archives of The Suffolk Journal, good luck. Outside of basketball my life includes a beautiful wife and an adorable son, martial arts, an affinity for tattoos and XBox (Hit me up as “Obi Wan Canubi” if you want to play). “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ~ Bruce Lee
