Declaring War on Dzen
Where is Dzen you ask? Is this some small insignificant Eastern Bloc country? It is small and insignificant, but Dzen is not a where, but a who from the left-leaning trash rag The Boston Globe. Today the Globe ran a Dzen story on Boston.com titled “Most Memorable Celtics Games” [Link] where he made one of [...]
Player Power Rankings
In the past week, we’ve seen the Celtics play 4 games (I guess you have to count the win vs. Cleveland, the worst team in the league), with the past three coming on a 4-game West Coast Road trip. They did not look particularly good in winning one of the first two games on the [...]

Kobe has his “Christmas” Kicks now KG has his “Beat L.A.” Sneaks
The first taunting sneaker I ever remember would have been in the very early 1990′s. A player who’s name has long since left my mind had scrawled “Kick” on the back of his left shoe and “Ass” on the rear of his right shoe. Taunting is an art that is ever evolving, and for a [...]
Sleepless in Phoenix
STILL UP/DOWN Well, we all said it. No rocket scientist needed when it comes to an older team who hasn’t played fantastically away from home. Factor in the guy who has Amerigo Vespucci rolling over in his grave whom was genius enough to have the Celtics go on a four-game road trip out West starting [...]

Celtics captain Paul Pierce has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season. Pierce guided injury-depleted Boston to four wins last week, averaging 21.8 points on 58.7 percent shooting (27 for 46) from the floor. Pierce also won the Player of the Week honor back on Dec. 20. It's the third time this season a Boston player earned the honor, with Rajon Rondo taking home the award for the first week of the 2010-11 season. Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook earned this week's nod for the Western Conference. Celtics guard Ray Allen was also nominated for the East honor.
