The Christmas Day Massacre

Ugh.

For a day of wonderment yesterday could not have gone worse basketball-wise.  That is unless you are one of two types of people in the country: A Crazy New Yorker or A Crazy Floridian.

To start things off, yesterday afternoon the Knicks won rather easily against the Bulls in a game where they controlled nearly every minute of the clock.  The only thing positive about this game is the continued improvement of the Knickerbockers and emergence of another good team in the Eastern Conference.

Then after Christmas Dinner the Celtics once again washed away a lead and let the Magic walk all over them in the 4th quarter.  Only two Greenmen played a decent game yesterday, Big Baby and KG, The rest of them cashed in by either not being focused or exhausted from the 14-game winning streak.  It is clear they need Rondo to control the floor against elite teams.

Then comes leftovers and the Lakers-Heat matchup, and this is probably the one game the entire of Boston is rooting for Kobe.  With the Nation behind him Kobe just got walloped and embarrassed in his bad-ass green shoes.  And the worst part of all of this, ESPN will use this one win against the Champs to promote and raise up the Heat until a rematch loss quiets them for 3 days until the Heat win again.  For the rest of the season they will  portray them as an unbeatable force and make excuses for LBJs loses as overworked exhaustion and under-appreciated by the masses.  It is sad what ESPN considers redemption.
