NBA Odds: Celtics, Heat, and Lakers Remain Title Favorites

The NBA odds championship contending LA Lakers have been struggling a bit by their standards but a break has come in the schedule and they look to be back on track.

LA is hoping to recapture that championship form, but they remain the odds-on favorite to win the NBA title over fellow contenders like the Celtics and the Miami Heat.

Despite their recent snag, LA remains the favorite at +210 odds to +230 for Miami and +610 for Boston because of their proven history.

Of course they are back-to-back champions having narrowly edged out the Celtics last year, and the NBA odds favorite Lakers still have the best player on the floor pretty much every night in Kobe Bryant despite LA taking it a bit easy on him during the regular season to make sure he’s healthy for the playoffs.

The Celtics have seen improvement from individual players on the year and will be there until the end, however. The Heat having better odds is due in large part to whats some feel as a higher team ceiling because they’re still trying to get their chemistry down.
But the Celtics still have the big four (now that Rajon Rondo is a bonafide All-Star) and the additional chemistry will make them tough to beat in the East.

Truth be told, Boston should have better NBA odds right now to win it all because they have won more Finals games head-to-head than the Lakers have in their two meetings when playing for the title and because they might have an easier path in the East to get to the Finals as well.

The Lakers might be the favorites for now but as the season continues on, expect the Celtics to make a dramatic ascent and the odds to become less enticing for betting fans.

For those Celtics fans who have extra faith after a successful 2010 start, now is the time to jump on their +610 NBA odds to win the championship because Boston has as good a chance as anyone.

I don’t get it, Boston has the second best record in the league, they have proven already they can beat the Heat and yet they are eons behind the Heat in the odds… you go Vegas, believe the hype.
