Boston Celtics Season Preview
Articles, News — By ObiWanCanubi on September 13, 2010 at 1:28 amTeam Name: Boston Celtics
Last Year’s Record: 82-0 (50-32 due to officiating blunders)
Key Losses: Scal, Finley, TA???
Key Additions: Shaq, Harangody, Bradley, West?
1. What Significant Moves were made during the off-season?
Alot of people question the Shaq signing, or just plain out minimize it. With Boston’s already solid defense Shaq will just be the icing on the cake. Like Perk, Shaq moves like a stalled tugboat. The range of KG in the post will close Shaq more into the paint and significantly zero in on his basket responsibility. Cleveland never had the personnel to utilize Shaq’s interior presence. Mark my words, he will dominate the hell out of ground zero this season.
2. What are the team’s biggest strengths?
Defense. And too much depth at guard, quality players will be fighting for minutes.
3. What are the team’s biggest weaknesses?
SF depth. If Daniels rebounds this season it will be less of an issue, but without the lackluster effort there is no real relief for Pierce. Unless they plan to swing Allen into some SF floor time which he has proven he can maintain.
4. What are the goals for this team?
Title or bust. LA we are coming to take our trophy back to Boston. Behind winning Boston’s veterans need to develop Bradley and Harangody into winners, they along with Rondo, Perk, and Davis have a decade or more to lead this team when the Big 3 move onto retirement.
5. Biggest surprise of the 2010-11 season that no one will see coming in Boston?
Glen Davis has spent all off season in Vegas working out and building cardio with some of MMAs top trainers. He has trimmed significant weight and will prowl like a cheetah on the court. He will emerge this season as KG unquestionable replacement for PF. AYO Big Baby.

Did you really forget to mention Jermaine ONeal as a key addition?
The only thing Shaq will dominate at this stage of his career are super weak centers and the buffet table.
If you make the Finals, prepare to the lose the Lakers, again.
That should read “lose to the” of course
I don’t think the Celtics will lose to the Lakers again if they meet in the Finals – and if Shaq decides he can’t do enough to stop them, I bet he goes violent and takes Kobe down in Game 2.
Starting 5
Rondo – Allen – Pierce – KG – Shaq?
2nd Unit
Robinson – West – Wafer – Jermaine – Big Baby
…Wow, that’s surprisingly not that bad looking at all, considering this rotation still leaves you with Avery Bradley, Erden, and a couple other guys. Marquis Daniels, though ya gotta love him, I’m convinced is at this point irrelevant from both a pace and talent perspective. Dude can’t keep up. You gonna run MD against Bosh, with James on the court? no chance, the offensive liability there is ridiculous. R-I-D-I-C-U-L-U-Z. Cut Daniel’s and snag Dampier for the vet’s minimum, just to block the Heat. Oh yeah, and Perk comes back in December. Such a clutch season.
Celts r on borrowed time. Sooner or later the Big Three will break down. Shaq should retire already, he’s just embarassing himself. West? Did Delonte go back to the Celts?
