Dropping the Second Shoe
Now that the first Shaq shoe has dropped (as predicted here first by yours truly) we have to wait for that second shoe. Who wants nearly 6 million in expiring (retiring) money? Why – half the NBA! What could our options be? Danny will probably surprise us as usual, but here are (in my humble [...]
Positional Rankings: PG
Most of the NBA’s top scoring options come in the form of a wing or big man. In fact, the only qualified point guards to lead their respective clubs in scoring last season were Golden State’s Monta Ellis (25.5 PPG), Chicago’s Derrick Rose (20.8 PPG) and Houston’s Aaron Brooks (19.6 PPG). Only three of the [...]
This is NOT the Celtics Last Run at Glory
In the Boston Media we have heard the term “last run” quite often and I think they are being a bit unfair to the future of the Celtics who in my opinion have a future possibly brighter than the present. As each of the major players re-signed or joined the Celtics you regularly saw the [...]
Shaq to Boston Means Nicknames
Now that Shaquille O’Neal is officially signing with the Celtics, ESPN Boston and Sportscenter.com thought he needed a new nickname. Check out the more popular ones below: Here are our favorite responses, in no particular order: @cistocraig: maybe ‘unleaded’ b/c he definitely isn’t the diesel anymore. @Big_Rod_1: The Big Shillelagh! @DubMcFly: The Big Baked Bean [...]
How We Look as of Today?
So After today’s addition of Shaq, looking at the roster as of today we are in good shape to make another run at banner 18 and all this talk about the Heat rolling to an Eastern Confrence Title, I am saying to the National Media(ESPN) you better watch out because the defending champs are not [...]
Celtics Fill Front Court Void: Add Shaq
So according to just about every credible news source who follows the Celtics; CSN, ESPN, Yahoo Sports, so on and so forth, Shaquille O’Neal will be joining the Celtics this upcoming season. It seems the deal will be for the veteran minimum and will have a player’s option for the second year. While Shaq does [...]
Rondo Has Rings and He is Not Afraid to Rub it in
Here is why I love the NBA, the only thing that separates the players from you and I is about 40 million dollar bank accounts. Money aside they really are regular guys and easily some of the most approachable when you see them out on the town. Today, Twitter announced of the major sports that [...]

Celtics captain Paul Pierce has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season. Pierce guided injury-depleted Boston to four wins last week, averaging 21.8 points on 58.7 percent shooting (27 for 46) from the floor. Pierce also won the Player of the Week honor back on Dec. 20. It's the third time this season a Boston player earned the honor, with Rajon Rondo taking home the award for the first week of the 2010-11 season. Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook earned this week's nod for the Western Conference. Celtics guard Ray Allen was also nominated for the East honor.
